FarmHouse Fraternity as an organization was founded in 1905 by a group of seven men who wanted to break away from stereotypes of fraternities that were preaching exclusiveness of class and glamour over their operations with the use of greek letters. In 1983 Illinois State began its own chapter of FarmHouse. Twenty-four men who had similar goals and ideals banded together and decided to charter here at Illinois State. The Illinois State Chapter today has thirty members whose majors range from Arts Technology to Criminal Justice and Math Education to Business Management.
